Build Your Own Computer:

Basically all that is required is connecting wires and inserting cards. All of the wire connectors will only fit at certain locations so figuring out where everything goes is not as difficult as you might imagine. Another great thing about doing this yourself is that you will probably save some money versus buying a computer that is sold fully assembled. There are many vendors that will sell you everything you need and let you know which components are compatible with the machine you are trying to build.

And if you have an older computer you can upgrade using many of the parts you already have. Some of the components will not work on the newer motherboards but you might be able to use your cd rom, some video cards, fans and various drives, such as hard drives and floppies.
